Privacy notice, plain English.
The short version: we collect the minimum needed to email you about sessions, you can leave any time with one click, and nothing is sold or shared.
What we collect
- Email address — only what you type into the form.
- Consent timestamp — the moment you ticked the consent box.
- Reference code — like
LAK-00012, used to look you up. - Hashed IP and user-agent — used only to deduplicate and to investigate abuse. We never store your raw IP.
What we send
- One confirmation email when you sign up.
- One welcome email after you confirm.
- One session announcement when the first session is scheduled.
- Nothing else. No newsletters, no sales emails, no drip campaigns.
How to leave
Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. Gmail and Outlook also surface a native "Unsubscribe" control above the message.
One click ends future email and clears your tokens. To re-subscribe later, sign up again at lakeville.ai.
Where the data lives
Subscriber records live in an isolated database schema owned by Cichocki Advisory. The schema is logically isolated from other systems and accessed by a dedicated, least-privileged database user. The application can insert new signup and event records, read the minimum subscriber fields needed for confirmation and sign-in, and update only the columns required for confirmation, preferences, unsubscribe status, and token rotation. The event log is append-only at the database level (UPDATE and DELETE are blocked by a trigger).
Emails are sent through SMTP2GO with DKIM signing.
What we don't do
- No third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
- No selling, sharing, or trading your address.
- No marketing campaigns to addresses that never confirmed.
- No dark patterns. The signup form has one checkbox and one button. The unsubscribe is one click.
